Women’s Liberation – how to find genuine female freedom

An evening session for women. Men welcome!
Moscow

In this discussion we will consider the things that bind us to our gender, and how to release ourselves from personal and societal limitations. We will utilise mindfulness meditation to release us from habits and conditioning that keep women restricted to living with subservience and low self- esteem. Many feminine attributes are seen as “soft” or weak yet it is in these very qualities that women can help create a harmonious world through the practice of mindfulness to balance and influence the masculine dominated world we live in.

Entrance free; donations are welcome and appreciated.

Wednesday 12th July, 19:30-21:30
Genuine Self-esteem – the psychology of managing the ego

Friday 14th – Sunday 16th July
Living Mindful in our Relationships

Friday 14th: 19:30-21:30
Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th: 11:00-17:00

Moscow

Our relationships with others is essential to our happiness and fulfilment. Humans need one another. Emotional Intelligence is now cited as more important than our Intelligence Quotient for measuring success in life. When we are mindful we naturally become more aware and sensitive to others, but without the skills to manage our emotions, we can continue in entrenched habits and tendencies resulting in, not only unnecessary worry and anxiety, but troubling relationships. Of course, key to this is our relationship with ourselves.

This weekend course offers us the opportunity to practise mindful meditations on thought patterns and emotional reactions so that we can begin to unravel why we think and behave the way we do. Equipped with greater understanding of the tricks our minds play on us, due to conditioned fear and insecurity, we can start to develop a more compassionate relationship with ourselves, which can then more easily be extended to others, whoever they are.

  • Those new to mindfulness will become familiar with the meditation practices, emotional intelligence and working with the ego, and increase their self-awareness skills.
  • Those who are already mindfulness practitioners will be able to strengthen and deepen their practice, and develop their skills to transform the way they live.

The course structure will include talks, meditations, discussions, and group activities.

Entrance free; donations are welcome and appreciated.

All of the events will take place in the building of the Ripa Buddhist Centre (Aptekarskiy Pereulok, 9).  Ondy is invited by the Foundation for Contemplative Studies – with any practical questions, you can contact the volunteers at elena.molokova(at)gmail.com
